BURJUMAN CENTRE WILL put its "petal to the metal" on July 21 with the launch of its Flower Power festival that will feature a kaleidoscope of floral displays. Visitors to the mall are invited to stroll through and interact with over 100 floral installations, including the Singing Plants - a garden of hanging greenery connected to a stereo sound system - and Musical Stairs, a stairway that has been transformed into a piano. On a more creative front, daily workshops for children will cater to artistic pursuits with a Floral Princess Make-over activity. Weekly workshops for adults will also be held that will include the art of Japanese flower arranging (Ikebana), floral-inspired cake decorating and more.
