Why you should watch Salman Khan’s Race 3

DON’T WE JUST LOVE IT  when movie stars come to the UAE to shoot for their film? Salman Khan’s Race 3 which was filmed at nine locations in Abu Dhabi across 21 days is all set to release in the UAE this weekend. We give you three reasons why we think you must watch this stylised thriller. Race 3 stars Bobby Deol and Daisy Shah also opened up to us candidly talking about their struggles and challenges they faced before making it big.
 
The cast spent 21 days in Abu Dhabi 
Support from UAE Armed forces and Abu Dhabi Film Commission, 30% rebate on production spend in the emirate and much more, the team of Race 3 enjoyed massive support from the UAE while they shot for 21 days in March and April this year for the suspense thriller directed by Remo D’Souza. 
The Salman Khan starrer was filmed at nine locations in the emirate. Remo led a crew of more than 200 people, including 150 professionals from India working alongside local talent from the UAE. twofour54 provided full production services for the film’s shoot in Abu Dhabi as well as the support of its Government and Travel Services department. Four interns also worked on the project giving them an opportunity to soak up knowledge.  Hollywood biggie Mission Impossible – Fallout starring Tom Cruise was also simultaneously shot in Abu Dhabi. 
 
Massive Action Sequences
We hear the makers of the movie went for stylish and expensive cars like Ferrari, Lamborghini and Maserati during their shoot at the Formula One circuit. You will get to see cars being blown up into pieces in many action sequences. “The makers have revealed very less in the trailer, throughout the film there will be more than 15 supercars that will be a treat for all car lovers. To top it all, we have also shot at a real Formula One race track,” a spokesperson for the film said in a statement.                                                                                                                  
Race 3 is believed to take the Race franchise many notches higher with its spell-binding action and edge-of-the-seat suspense.  The UAE Armed Forces provided a lot of support to create high-octane action sequences. Daisy revealed to us that she had a great time shooting in the ‘monster truck’ provided by the military during the shoot.              
Bobby Deol told to us that the entire star cast only spoke about fitness to each other during the shoot. “I really had a great time in Abu Dhabi. After packing up, we would always go to some nice restaurant for dinner. Everybody was only talking about fitness and what workouts they did during the day. We used to always be in the gym together. This was a film where everyone was required to be fit. I have been preparing myself for a couple of years to get in shape, and four months before we started shooting, Salman put me in touch with his trainers. After years of working out, I am now enjoying the benefits of it. It always feels amazing when you look good and feel fit.”
 
Meet the family   
      Race 3 marks the return of both Salman Khan and Jacqueline Fernandez to Abu Dhabi, as they had previously filmed in the emirate for Tiger Zinda Hai and Dishoom respectively. The film’s stunt director, Tom Struthers, also worked on Tiger Zinda Hai last year. Salman is the go-to guy for anyone who is struggling with their career in the Hindi film industry. He is the man responsible for getting Bobby, Jacqueline and Daisy to work 
in this film, which is about conflict, betrayal and drama, and everything happens among the family members. Anil Kapoor and Jackie Shroff also play important roles in the film.
 
 
 
 
 

Bobby Deol opens up about battling his inner demons and coming out victorious
 
WE TEND TO see the world of glamour and films with rose-tinted glasses. We think that everything is perfect in the ‘La La Land’ of the film industry which is why we are totally in love with Bobby Deol right now. He candidly spoke to us about the struggles of being jobless for more than three years. 
After tasting success in movies like Barsaat, Soldier and many others, Bobby’s career went downhill. He was without work for a long time. But he changed the tide of the course by going out and asking for help. “I went out and asked many people for work when I did not have work in the last three years of my life. I don’t think any ego should come in the way when you are looking for work. I am not someone who will let his ego come in the way of life.”
It was love for his children and family that got Bobby out of the darkness. He asserted the fact that one should always reach out for help when needed. “Basically, I slowed down because I did not know how to operate myself. I thought work would come to me, and it doesn’t work that way. I kept wondering why work was not coming to me. You have to go out and look for work. I went through a bad phase fighting with all the demons in my mind. Looking at my family, I realised that I had to take care of them and if I had to keep them happy, I had to keep myself happy first. My family motivated me to work hard. Eventually, I started enjoying my work. I did a small film called Poster Boys where my work was appreciated and things just kept becoming better from there. I still remember the four years when I did not work. I wish I had realised then how to keep the fire burning within me. I now understand the need and desire to work. I get so motivated with everybody around me now. I am in a very happy space now and enjoying every day of my life working.” 
 Bobby is back with Race 3 and credits Salman for his second inning. “Salman is someone who goes out of the way to help others. He is an awesome person who has done so much for so many. I am one of the lucky ones as he treats me like his younger brother. He always tells me that I am like Sohail to him. He has huge respect for my father Dharmendra and my dad treats him like his own son. I cannot put into words what I feel for my Mamu (Bobby has a nickname for Salman – Mamu).”
