The ministry has repeatedly called upon the public to adhere to health guidelines and instructions from the relevant authorities, particularly concerning social distancing, for the sake of the health and safety of all.

With the global count of Covid-19 infections crossing the five-million mark on Wednesday, the UAE government authorities called upon residents to be responsible this Eid and avoid family gatherings. The authorities urged public to avoid social gatherings and follow social distancing guidelines.
It was also announced that mosques across the UAE will remain closed for Eid, and the Takbeer, which is chanted before the special prayers performed on Eid, will be broadcast from mosques 10 minutes before the prayer time.

Most of the hypermarkets and supermarkets across Dubai will remain open as usual, leading grocery chains have confirmed. This comes after the UAE announced revised national sterilisation programme timings from Wednesday.
Residents are not allowed to step out of their homes from 8pm to 6am unless for emergencies. In industrial areas and areas with worker accommodations, the timings are from 6pm to 6am.
