Finally, seven-year-old British boy, Archie, got to reunite with his mother in the UAE almost after 70 days as she was stranded in the UK due to coronavirus travel restrictions.
Archie had sought help from His Highness Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, UAE Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah, to bring back his stranded mother from the UK in heart-touching letter.
The boy's mother, Jessica Fitzjohn, landed back in the UAE a fortnight ago and was placed in quarantine for two weeks. RAK Government Media Office tweeted on their official Twitter account, a video of Jessica finally reuniting with her son and husband, Richard. In the video, Archie is seen seated as he waits for his mother and dashes to hug her as soon as he sees her.
In the tweet, RAK Government Media Office wrote: 'After 7-year-old Archie's mother spent almost 70 days away from him, firstly stranded in the UK & latterly in quarantine in the UAE, little Archie finally got his happy ending when he was reunited with mother Jessica, after Sheikh Saud helped bring her back to RAK'.
According to KT reports, His Highness Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi had personally responded to Archie's letter and facilitated his mother's return to the UAE. The family, who are from the UK, said they were overjoyed to be together again, and they thanked the UAE Government.
