A new campaign urging residents to #StayHome is gaining ground in the UAE, with several deciding to stay put in order to flatten the curve of the spreading coronavirus. The campaign is among the several initiatives the country has launched to combat the spread of Covid-19.
Many citizens and residents are voluntarily abandoning simple pleasures of life for now. They are practising social distancing and avoiding restaurants and malls.
The UAE's commercial centres, shopping malls and fish, meat and vegetable markets will be closed.

On Tuesday, one day before the closure of shopping malls, Dubai mall and major shopping malls and areas wore a deserted look as residents took up the campaign and stayed home.
Parks, beaches and other leisure destinations were temporarily shut by the government.
Malls, streets empty as ensure the campaign stay home stay safe. Most firms adapt work from home for their employees and the public avoiding unnecessary travels.
From March 25, people will be allowed to step up only the emergencies like buying groceries, medicines and for essential work as UAE enforces stricter regulations to contain the spread of Covid-19.
