NAIROBI - Captain Khurram Khan and Amjad Ali made half-centuries to lead United Arab Emirates to a four-wicket win over Kenya in the ICC Intercontinental Cup 50-over competition on Tuesday.
Khan was 65 not out off 60 balls and shared a 75-run partnership with Shaiman Anwar (34) as UAE passed Kenya’s 230-9 for a series-leveling victory in the two-match contest.
Ali made 60 and UAE reached 233-6 with 20 balls to spare.
Kenya opener Rakep Patel had hit six sixes in his 124 — his first international century — after UAE put the home team in to bat.
Tanmay Mishra added 51, the only other Kenyan to reach double figures. Saqib Ali took 3-28 for UAE.
Kenya won Monday’s rain-affected first game by 66 runs. The teams now play a four-day match, starting on Thursday.
