Gang stealing public water
taps busted

The gang sold each water tap worth Dh1,000 for just Dh100, according to the police. After receiving complaints from the municipality in this regard, the police laid a trap and arrested one suspect while he was selling some taps to a scrap shop. The others were arrested with the help of leads given by him. During the interrogation, the gang confessed that they had been stealing the water taps for over a year.

The suspects have been referred to the Public Prosecution.
