A man, who was allegedly caught on CCTV camera groping a woman, has denied the charges at the Court of First Instance recently.
The incident happened as she was walking out of lift in a building in the Chinese cluster in the International City on March 16.
The defendant, a 27-year-old from Egypt, told the court that he only meant to hold the complainant's hand.
The woman, a 23-year-old Chinese, said in the investigation that the man was in the lift when she got inside.
She was surprised when he touched her as she was about to walk out.
She called the police shortly after that. The surveillance camera footage, which was checked by the police, corroborated the woman's story.
The court is expected to hand down a verdict on July 28.
