Sharjah Police honour expat for assisting sick motorist

Sharjah - Man praised for his quick thinking as motorist's vehicle gets stuck in sand.

A Jordanian resident has been praised for his "heroic actions" in aiding the Sharjah Police during an emergency.

According to the police, Abdul Rahman Taha drove into the desert to help a man whose vehicle got stuck in the sand. The man had had a health emergency.

Brigadier General Ahmed Haji Al Serkal, Director General of Police Operations, said Taha also assisted the rescue team that arrived at the scene soon after him.

Brig Al Serkal also praised the quick response of the paramedics and first responders.
