Have you always wanted to design your own fashion collection? This may just be your chance.
Popular e-commerce platform PrettyLittleThing is looking for inspiring creatives to design a capsule collection of 5-10 designs that will - if selected - go on to retail on the brand's global website.
The fashion, beauty and lifestyle website launched the competition in a bid to encourage the next generation of designers to showcase their talent, given that many students of fashion and design have had their plans interrupted by the ongoing pandemic.
Sketches will need to demonstrate a clear front and back view of each style. They must be commercial designs and "seasonally relevant for a February 2021 launch".
Interested applicants must submit the designs to the website (www.prettylittlething.com/futureoffashion) in a PDF by September 27. According to a statement issued, the submissions will be reviewed and judged by a panel of established fashion creatives, including celebrity stylists Zack Tate and Jamie McFarland - known for styling iconic British girl band Little Mix.
The winner will be announced on September 30, with designs finalised and sent to production by October 30. The brand has set February 1, 2021 as the date when the collection will go "live".
The competition is open to individuals worldwide, and entrants must be over the age of 18.
