Abu Dhabi - Mohammed bin Zayed welcomed President Ghani and exchanged with him greetings on the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan.

His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces received this evening at Al Shati Palace President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani of Afghanistan, who is currently on a visit to the UAE.
Mohammed bin Zayed welcomed President Ghani and exchanged with him greetings on the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan.
The meeting discussed ties of friendship and cooperation between the UAE and Afghanistan and ways to enhance them. It also touched on bilateral cooperation on economic, investment and development fields, as well as UAE's support of the reconstruction efforts in several areas of Afghanistan.
Mohammed bin Zayed said the UAE, under the wise the leadership of the President, His Highness Shaikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, is keen on supporting Afghanistan and its people and to strengthen bilateral relations with this friendly country. He wished Afghanistan further progress and lasting security and stability.
The meeting also reviewed regional and international developments, especially the efforts to combat terrorism and extremism.
In attendance were Suhail bin Mohammed Faraj Faris Al Mazrouei, Minister of Energy, Mohamed Mubarak Al Mazrouei, Under-secretary of the Abu Dhabi Crown Prince's Court, a number of officials and members of the delegation accompanying the President of Afghanistan.
