His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, received Michel Temer, Vice-President of Brazil, and the delegation accompanying him at Zaabeel Palace in Dubai on Tuesday.

Shaikh Mohammed exchanged views with Temer on a number of issues and topics that fall within the framework of bilateral relations between the UAE and the Republic of Brazil, especially in the economic and tourism fields, and ways to enhance the existing cooperation between the two countries.

Shaikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, attended the meeting.

Shaikh Mohammed welcomed his guest, confirming the existence of a common desire between the two sides to develop friendship and cooperation to serve the interests of the two friendly peoples.

He received an official invitation from the Brazilian President to visit his country. Shaikh Mohammed accepted the invitation and he thanked and expressed his appreciation to the Brazilian President.

On his part, Temer expressed confidence that his visit will bring fruitful results in terms of expansion of cooperation and communication, particularly at the tourism and cultural levels, pointing to the role of Emirates airline in building and strengthening the bridges of this desired communication.

Temer affirmed that the aim of his visit to the UAE is to assert the desire of Brazil’s Government, people and business community to strengthen bonds of friendship, economic and investment cooperation between the two parties.

The meeting was also attended by Mohammed Ahmed Al Murr, Speaker of the Federal National Council (FNC); Shaikha Lubna Al Qasimi, Minister of Development and International Co-operation; Mohammed bin Abdullah Al Gergawi, Minister for Cabinet Affairs; Sultan bin Saeed Al Mansouri, Minister of Economy; Reem Ibrahim Al Hashimi, Minister of State; and others.
