When two countries shift gears in their relationship, the bonhomie is for all to see. It continued on Thursday, the second day of His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan's visit to India when the UAE and New Delhi signed seven agreements on cyber security, infrastructure investment, renewable energy, currency swaps, insurance, culture and skill development. Another pact is expected to be signed on Friday
The camaraderie was evident from the moment the jet carrying the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces touched down in the Indian capital on Wednesday.
The Big Change Dr Anwar MohammedGargash, Minister of Statefor Foreign Affairs, said ties between India and the UAEare "central, important and positive". "we are neighbours, we are a continent which is moving forward economically and politically," he said. He said the two sides are talking to each other on all issues, nothing is off the table. "Now I hear in a candid voice from the Indian leadership on how India feels, and they hear. They hear directly from me candidly what we feel, rather than hear it through a third source. This is an essential change.

On Thursday the two sides were in a hurry to get down to the process of implementation of several agreements that were signed during the Indian PM's visit to the UAE last August.
Shaikh Mohammed and Modi later held talks at the Indian PM's residence on the status of the agreements. The two leaders discussed a number of regional and international issues of mutual interest. "We have passed a milestone in our bilateral relationship,'' said Shaikh Mohammed.
