Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Tolerance and Vice Chairman of the Supreme National Committee of the Year of Tolerance, met with Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan and discussed issues of bilateral interest on Friday.
The meeting, held in Islamabad at the PM House, focused on strengthening Pakistan-UAE relations in diverse areas.
The UAE minister apprised Imran Khan about his government's efforts towards building a tolerant nation and observing 2019 as the 'Year of Tolerance'.

The UAE has introduced a National Tolerance Programme to deepen the values of tolerance and co-existence among cultures from 200 nationalities forming the UAE community.
Meeting with the president
President Dr. Arif Alvi also met the UAE royal and said that Pakistan was endeavouring to further strengthen its existing bilateral engagements with UAE at all levels and fields including trade, investment, energy, culture and tourism.
He called on him at the President's house.

Dr Alvi appreciated the efforts of the UAE for promoting regional peace and stability.
The President highlighted that 1.6 million Pakistani community formed a strong bridge between the two countries.
He said the nation took pride of what Pakistani diaspora had contributed in the development of the UAE and stressed for more employment opportunities for? Pakistani workers in the UAE.
Sheikh Nahyan's 'tent city' in Pakistan
Sheikh Nahyan is known to travel to Pakistan in December during the winter for a hunting trip, setting up a 'tent city' in the middle of a desert in Sindh's Pir Kamal, 700km from Karachi.
The camp - spanning 4km - is equipped with facilities including stocks of food, expensive hunting falcons, a majlis area and even arrangements for an emergency flight back to UAE.

Security arrangements at the fortified camp include barbed wiring all around the area and an entourage of 1,000 people - Pakistanis and Emiratis - that also include personal security guards.
