As part of the ongoing campaign to promote legal work culture, UAE's Federal Public Prosecution shared a video on Twitter emphasizing that employees who intentionally decide to leave work for an unlawful purpose will be penalized.
The video aims to raise awareness of ethical work laws and thereby help to reduce the percentage of violations resulting from ignorance of the law, reported Wam.
The video shared on Twitter points at the article 231 of the Federal Criminal Code states that it is an offense when at least three public employees collectively leave work or one of the duties to achieve an unlawful purpose. Each employee will be punished with not less than 6 months in prison and not more than a year, as the imprisonment will be for leaving the job or duties that affect the health or the security of the people, or affect another public services of public benefit.
