AUD expects 800 new students

DUBAI - The American University in Dubai (AUD), which starts its new academic year on October 5, is expecting an intake of over 800 new students this year.

Elias Bou Saab, Vice-President at AUD, announced that registration and orientation for new students will take place during the week, preceding the beginning of the new academic year.

He added that the university administration has started to apply a new system for its placement tests. All English and Mathematics placement tests can now take place directly at the university every Saturday during this month. The university staff will access the College Board electronic site and request the student to sit for the test, results of which will be given the same day.


Meanwhile, the university has completed recruitment of faculty members who will be joining the Business Administration, Engineering, and Information Technology Schools at AUD. The university has finished updating all its computer laboratories in preparation for the new academic year.
