M.J. Mohamed Iqbal, President of LIT, conveyed the message of Imam Jamaliya Syed Khaleel Awn Al Hasaniyul Hashimiy, founder of LIT, that the "teachings of the glorious Quran and Holy Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him) are instilling peace, love, compassion, tolerance and mercy. It is the responsibility of Muslim Ummah to exhibit such values and to be the role models and leaders to the world in establishing harmony and working towards welfare of the society as well as humanity in all respects."
Mohamed Iqbal, in his Eid address to the audience, told that Muslim festivals, possess important facts and background, and Eid is the festival which shows spiritual elevation, brotherhood, unity and a very big inclination towards helping the needy after the end of 30 days of fasting.
Mr Iqbal further said: "Our present younger generation is not showing much interest in knowing the traditional history of Islam and life of the noble prophet, his family, and faithful companions. It is our responsibility to educate them about the moral values of Islam and then only real true bliss shall prevail in Muslim society and thus all misconception about Islam would be eliminated."
