An enterprising group has arranged a mango festival from May 27 to 30 for the connoisseurs of this exotic fruit.
India's Agricultural Produce Export Development Authority, in association with Emke Group that runs the LuLu Hypermarkets chain, is organising the Mango Festival, in the UAE and Qatar, to showcase the best mangoes from India.
The festival will exhibit a wide variety of popular and mouth-watering, Indian mango varieties such as the world-renowned Alphonso, Badami, Totapuri, Kesari and others. The festival will also feature a range of mango-based products.
In Dubai, the festival would be held at the LuLu Hypermarket, Al Qusais, LuLu Supermarket Karama from May 27 to 30. During same time it would be organised in the Abu Dhabi's Al Falah Plaza Outlet.
In Qatar, the festival will be held from June 10 to 14 at LuLu Hypermarket, Doha.
Indian Ambassador K.C. Singh will inaugurate the festival at LuLu Hypermarket, Dubai on 27 May which would be attended by high ranking government officials from UAE and India.
Yousaf Ali M. A., Managing Director, Emke Group, said that the festival would help boost efforts to promote and market Indian farm produce in the world market. He appreciated the efforts of Agricultural Products Export Development Authority in this regard.
