DUBAI - Key players in the oil and gas industry are expected to thresh out new concerns confronting their sectors in the 17th Annual Middle East Petroleum and Gas Conference, which kicks off today in Dubai.

The event, which is hosted by Emirates National Oil Company, or ENOC, has its theme: “Navigating through the Pitfalls: Demand Uncertainty, Financial Crises, and Price Volatility.”

The keynote speakers include Mohammed bin Dha’en Al Hamili, UAE Minister of Energy, Saeed Khoory, Group Chief Executive of ENOC, Samir Al Tubayyeb, Executive Director of Saudi Aramco, and Pierre Barbe, TOTAL President for Shipping and Trading.

“The oil and gas industry has been the principal driver of growth for the nation, and the conference will discuss the new challenges and opportunities in the sector. Our support of the event reinforces our commitment to further developing the Middle East oil and gas industry,” said Khoory.

Key decision makers, including senior management from national oil companies, oil majors, trading groups and independents, policy-makers and financial institutions, from over 40 countries are expected to attend.
