Emaar Properties, the global developer of iconic projects, is presenting the much-awaited showcase of The Opera District in Downtown Dubai, in addition to other sought-after lifestyle developments in Dubai and key international markets, at Cityscape Global 2013 to be held from October 8 to 10 at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre.
In addition to a spectacular display of Downtown Dubai, Emaar’s flagship development, The Opera District, billed to be the UAE’s cultural hub, will take centre-stage at Emaar’s pavilion. Recently, the company has added several new lifestyle projects to the 500-acre community, which has recorded strong interest from regional and international investors. Also on display will be innovative lifestyle developments in Emaar’s global markets including Turkey and Egypt.

Ahmad Al Matrooshi, managing director of Emaar Properties, said: “Further building on the robust growth of Dubai’s economy, the government has announced a raft of new initiatives aimed at energising the city’s property sector. These policies will boost demand for homes and offices, especially in prime locations that offer modern lifestyle amenities. At Cityscape Global, Emaar is highlighting its newest project portfolio, all centrally located and aesthetically designed, which will strengthen the city’s reputation as a safe-haven for property investments.”

“The projects also support Dubai’s Tourism Vision 2020, announced by His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, to welcome 20 million visitors by the turn of the decade, and contribute to the city’s overall socio-economic growth. Additionally, we are supporting Dubai’s ambition to become the region’s cultural hub with the launch of The Opera District.”

Located within Downtown Dubai, The Opera District will captivate visitors with its Dubai Opera, a 2,000-seat multipurpose performing arts centre, inspired by the city’s maritime history. The new development will feature luxury hotels, elegantly-designed residential and serviced apartments, a retail plaza, restaurants, waterfront promenades, recreational spaces and parks.

Among the newest additions to Downtown Dubai include The Address Residence The BLVD, The Address Residence Sky View and The Address Residence Fountain Views, which offer the convenient lifestyle choice of serviced residences in the heart of the city. Another new addition to the premium neighbourhood is Burj Vista.

A key component of Emaar’s project repertoire, The Address Residence Sky View will also appeal to property investors. The luxurious twin-tower complex consists of a 58 and 54-storey hotel, residences and serviced apartments. Located within Downtown, The Address Residence Sky View offers panoramic views of the Arabian Gulf, Burj Khalifa and The Dubai Fountain.

Downtown Dubai, described as “The Centre of Now,” will be featured centrally at Cityscape Global as Emaar’s striking example of how architecture and modern planning contribute to creating urban masterpieces.

Demonstrating the company’s focus on project execution, Emaar will display models of Burj Khalifa, as well as organise a public seminar on the unique features that make the world’s tallest building a compelling global icon.

The architects and engineering team of Burj Khalifa, Chicago-based Skidmore, Owings and Merrill, will deliver the detailed presentation that provides insightful views on the making of architectural history.

Other attractions in Downtown Dubai that will take centre-stage at Cityscape Global are The Dubai Mall and the ongoing one million sqft expansion of its Fashion Avenue, and The Dubai Fountain, the world’s tallest performing fountain.
