In a change of format from previous retail group promotions, individual outlets designed value-for-money offers to boost sales during this DSF. While prizes worth Dh1.1 million were given during DSF 2008 through gold promotions, this year’s initiative was spearheaded by the DSF Office in cooperation with leading jewellers.
Laila Suhail, CEO of DSF Office said, “The gold and jewellery sector is an integral part of Dubai’s retail industry and the economy as a whole, and given Dubai’s reputation as the City of Gold, promotions launched during DSF will provide a real incentive for shoppers and jewellery outlets to the same effect. The value of prizes and the scale of promotions offered this year are by themselves an indication of how retail outlets can use DSF as a platform to successfully reach out to customers,” she said.
As part of DSF promotions, Damas is giving away a massive 20 kilos of gold as prizes through offers in 114 outlets.

Atlas Jewellery has put up 101 sovereigns of gold as total winnings for DSF 2009. Customers have the chance to win through a minimum purchase of Dh200.
