Nomura Gets DFSA Licence

DUBAI - The Dubai Financial Services Authoridty (DFSA) has granted a banking licence to international investment bank Nomura International Plc.

The licence will allow Nomura to provide investment banking and capital markets services from the Dubai International Financial Centre. (DIFC).

Nomura’s DIFC office will be the bank’s largest in the Middle East and Africa. Nomura has been expanding its presence in the region. Last year, Nomura was awarded a licence to operate in Saudi Arabia by the Capital Market Authority and it is currently awaiting approval of its licence to operate in Qatar.
