Thailand Gets High Commitment
from UAE’s Travel Industry

DUBAI - A renewed commitment from the Middle East’s travel industry agents to back Thailand’s travel packages offered to travellers from the region this month, is expected to further increase the already bullish Thai 
tourism traffic.

Currently, visitors from the Middle East to Thailand have steadily increased from 426,721 in 2007, to 464,486 in 2008 — an increase of 11.34 per cent compared to 2006. Total number of visitors in 2008 increased by a 
further 8.85 per cent. But, the commitment from the Middle East travel industry to the largest ever Thai tourism delegation to the UAE early this month, is expected to further boost the tourism traffic under the Amazing Thailand travel packages for Middle 
Eastern travellers.

Thai Tourism and Sports Minister Chumpol Silapa-Archa hailed the increased commitment of the Middle East travel industry to back Thailand’s travel packages during the eight-day mission, which coincided the Arabian Travel Market in Dubai as a “resounding success.”
