Bin Drai, Abu Dhabi, Ghantoot and Desert Palm 2 qualified to the semi-finals of the McLaren Silver Cup after a great day of polo, according to a Press release. The complete quarter-final round was played Tuesday with three matches in the Dubai Polo & Equestrian Club and one at Desert Palm.

Abu Dhabi defeated Habtoor by 6-4 in a very tough match. The control of the game was divided in two chukkas for each team. Till half-time, Habtoor Polo showed a better polo and team work but from the third period until the end Abu Dhabi took control of the actions and achieved a great victory by 6-4 to qualify to the semi-finals. In the beginning of the third chukka, Juan Cruz Guevara substitute Guillermo Cuitiño after a hard fall that left him out of the game. Luckily Cuitiño is all right.

In field 2, Bin Drai had to work hard to defeat Zedan. Team made by Mohammed Bin Drai, Tomas Iriarte, Manolo Fernandez Llorente and Raul Laplacette managed to control Zedan’s star Pelon Stirling finally in the last chukker to achieve a three goal difference that gave them the 9-6 victory and the ticket to the semi-finals. In the last match held in the Dubai Polo Club, Ghantoot and Mahra played a great game with a victory by 7-6 margin for the Ghantoot team.
