The event was held in support of the Dubai Foundation for Women and Children and was supported and attended by Shaikha Shaikha bin Mohammed bin Khaled Al Nahyan Al Nahyan. The tournament was organised to promote and inspire ladies tennis in the UAE.

Lady Elizabeth stated: “I was most impressed with the great level of play and dedication to tennis from our lovely Emirati players, as were our guests in attendance. I am very pleased with the success of our event, achieving our objective of empowering women through tennis.”

The full day event saw a thrilling display of competitive doubles matches played by a mix of sixteen talented competitors, alongside a tennis clinic run by Roxana Martinez, the tourney’s referee and tennis coach, allowing spectators to take their turn on the grand Centre Court.

Khuloud Al Mehairbi and Joniza Sarip clinched the title of this inaugural ACE IT Ladies Tournament with co-founders Ayesha Al Fahim and Shaikha Al Zaa’bi as finalists. “We are very happy how the event turned out, we had some really exciting matches. Hopefully we can see more events of this sort that encourage ladies to participate,” said Al Zaabi.
