CBD wins at Pan Arab Web Awards

The website if Commercial Bank of Dubai, or CBD, was awarded the “2014 Strategic Web Award” in the banking category by the Pan Arab Web Awards Academy.

The prestigious award was presented at a recent ceremony in Dubai.

The recently-redesigned website has received more than 1.2 million page views so far, representing a year-on-year growth of more than 45 per cent.

“This award encourages us to be more innovative to live up to our reputation of providing extraordinary banking experience,” said Murray Sims, general manager of CBD’s consumer banking.

RakBank launches ‘Dream It. Live It’

RakBank has unveiled its “Dream It. Live It” programme, in which customers can realise their dreams of attending some of the biggest and most exciting local and international events.

The new programme gives all RakBank MasterCard credit card cardholders the chance to win travel packages to some of the world’s greatest sporting events, concerts, family holidays and more. Cardholders also have the flexibility to choose the event package that they want to experience.

With every Dh500 spent on the credit cards, cardholders get one chance to enter the quarterly draws. Cardholders can choose to put all their chances in the draw for one event or split them equally across events at the end of every quarter.

Award for Dubai First credit card

Dubai First, a wholly-owned subsidiary of FGB, recently scooped the “Most Innovative Consumer Marketing Campaign” award for the Middle East and Africa Region at the MasterCard Innovation Forum 2014, for its Dubai Moments Credit Card.

“Our innovative, 360-degree marketing campaign, ‘Live the Dubai Life with the Dubai Moments Credit Card’, has enabled us to effectively engage with cardholders and this award recognises its significant success,” said Amit Talgeri, chief executive officer of Dubai First.
