Ahmed Al Shehi, an adviser to the department of public works, said they are 100 per cent geared up to attend to all emergency cases across the emirate.
"The department has deployed all water tankers and pumping machines to drain the accumulated water, particularly at low areas and on public roads, to ensure traffic flow."
So far, no falling rocks, uprooted trees, or blocked roads have been reported, he added.
He warned residents to stay indoors as the unstable weather conditions present multiple hazards. "It is risky to go out or drive under the heavy showers and thunderstorm."
