Fans and industry friends are mourning the loss of well-loved comedienne Tia Pusit on October 2. She succumbed to heart and kidney failure.
Minutes after her passing was reported by her sister and fellow comedienne Nova Villa, social media was abuzz with tributes from colleagues whose lives she had touched.

Born Myrna Villanueva, the 66-year-old comedienne shot to fame back in the 1980s on the IBC-13 hit sitcom Eh Kasi Babae where she played the a colourful character also named Tia Pusit.
The famous name stuck in the public’s consciousness and from there, she was either credited as Tia Pusit or simply Pusit in her succeeding film and TV projects that never stopped coming until she had to be hospitalised as a result of various ailments this year.
Before her confinement, Tia Pusit was last seen on TV5’s primetime comedy offering Confessions of a Torpe and ABS-CBN’s ongoing drama series Ikaw Lamang.
