World boxing champion and Congressman Manny Pacquiao says he’s “eighty per cent” sure he’ll be running for Senate in the Philippines in the 2016 national election.

Pacquiao is a contender for a seat in the Philippine Senate in 2016, according to the latest poll results released by Pulse Asia on Monday. The survey showed that 31.3 per cent of respondents would vote for Pacquiao to be a senator, putting him in 11th to 16th places.

Last July, the United Nationalist Alliance indicated that it is eyeing the WBO welterweight champion as one of its candidates for a Senate seat in 2016.
