Unlike most countries, the people in Jakarta have already begun their Eid Al Fitr celebrations. Traffic was relatively low as it was the first day of Eid joint holiday in Indonesia. The government had in April added three more days of joint leave for Eid Al Fitr holiday that falls on June 14 and 15 this week. "One of the considerations the additional joint leave is to break down the traffic flow before and after Eid al-Fitr," Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Culture Puan Maharani had said in a report on Tempo.co. The additional leave will allow families to spend more time together. Meanwhile, in UAE the Eid Al Fitr holidays for federal entities will begin from Thursday (June 14), the 29th Ramadan.
