The US Bangla plane crash survivor Shaheen Bapari, who had been undergoing treatment at the burn unit of Dhaka Medical College Hospital with injuries, died at the hospital Monday.
According to a media report, Shaheen died at about 4:45pm, hours after he was taken on life support at the hospital.
The victim, suffering 35 per cent burns, was shifted to the ICU at the hospital and put on life support on Monday night, quoted Dr Samanta Lal Sen, national coordinator of burn unit at Dhaka Medical College Hospital as saying by The Daily Star.
Shaheen, a businessman of Dhaka's Sadarghat area, has been undergoing treatment at the hospital for the past nine days.
On March 12, the plane carrying 71 passengers and crew crashed at the Kathmandu's Tribhuvan International Airport. 
There were 33 Nepali passengers, 32 from Bangladesh, one from China and one from the Maldives.
