Put in to bat first, Multiplex made an appalling start losing three wickets for just eight runs. While Umair Ali Khan picked two, Nasir Aziz accounted for one.
Sapandeep Singh and Mohammed Yasir provided the much needed partnership as the duo milked a quick 54 runs for the fourth wicket with the former doing most of the scoring.
Nasir Aziz again returned to torment the Multiplex batsmen as he quickly removed two batsmen - Yasir (9) and Zeeshan Khan (5) leaving them reeling at 70 for five.
Sapandeep continued to play with the same aggression despite losing his partners as he achieved a fine 80 from just 55 deliveries with the help of five boundaries and six sixes.
Lower order batsmen Raziq Khan (12), Imran Haider (17) and Syed Asif Abbas (18) all played sensible knocks to ensure Multiplex reached a healthy 166 in 39.3 overs.Nasir Aziz was the successful bowler with four wickets while Muhammad Azhar, Sajjad Akhter and Umair Ali Khan scalped two each.
Chasing a relatively easier target of 167 in the stipulated 40 overs, Alubond Tigers also endured a terrible start with openers falling cheaply.
Gulam Shabber(27, 25b, 3x4, 1x6) and Shahid Siddeq (24, 42b, 1x4, 2x6) shared a vital 36-run partnership for the third wicket . When they looked settled progressing smoothly a couple of quick wickets put brakes to the chase.
