It's no secret that the fastest man in the world is a big cricket fan. Yes, we are talking about Usain Bolt, the greatest Olympic sprinter of all time. The Jamaican superstar, of course, is also good friends with West Indian T20 superstar Chris Gayle. But surprisingly, none of the great West Indian players are his cricketing heroes. In fact, the nine-time Olympic gold medallist loves the Pakistan team in international cricket. And Waqar Younis, one of the greatest fast bowlers in cricket history, is his favourite cricketer. This was recently revealed by former Pakistan captain Wasim Akram during a TV show that he hosts in Pakistan. Wasim invited Waqar to his show and it was there that the legendary left-arm fast bowler said Bolt was a big fan of Waqar because of his beautiful run up and sheer athleticism. Waqar played 87 Test matches for Pakistan and took 373 wickets at 23.56. He was equally devastating in one-day cricket, taking 416 wickets from 262 matches at 23.84. But more than the wickets, it was the deadly speed at which bowled his inswinging yorkers that fans will never forget. His ruthless accuracy in bowling those yorkers earned him the nickname 'The toe-crusher'. After Akram's revelation, we have now come to know that among countless Waqar Younis admirers is a man - Bolt - who is one of the most famous athletes in world along with the likes of Lionel Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo, Roger Federer and Michael Phelps. Take a bow, Waqar!
