Talk about kicking people when they're down. A mod for the video game Grand Theft Auto V just transformed the under-fire (pun intended) Samsung Galaxy Note 7 into a weapon of not-so-mass-destruction, yet still packs a deadly punch: The maker of "Note-as-bomb" mod, a user by the name of HitmanNiko, may have intended to poke some fun at the Korean tech giant. Samsung, however, isn't laughing apparently. According to The Verge, while HitmanNiko didn't copy anything, Samsung filed a bogus copyright claim, causing the video to be pulled from YouTube. The original description of the video was: "GTA 5 Mod Showcasing the explosive Samsung Galaxy Note 7. You can blow people up with a Samsung Galaxy Note 7 in GTA V." The report added that "there's a little mystery about the party responsible" for the takedown, and it was also unclear if the uploader had appealed to Samsung. And by the way, Grand Theft Auto V is a favourite go-to place for mods. Some of the goofiest ones include a UFO suddenly appearing... ...Iron Man in his Hulkbuster armour wreaking havoc... ...and the heavens showering you with a whale. What an interesting world it is.
