Jumbo Group recently announced a detailed 3D manufacturing strategy with the launch of its latest company, Jumbo 3D Manufacturing.
It also unveiled a 3D application development centre in the Middle East at an event attended by Saeed Al Gergawi, director of Dubai Future Academy, at is new facility in Jebel Ali Industrial Area.
Soon after the announcement of the Dubai 3D Printing Strategy, Jumbo engaged with a global business consulting firm to conduct a study and launched its 3D printing division in 2017, followed by a partnership with envisonTEC and HP recently.
"We will shortly announce partnerships with several 3D printing bureaus who will be joining this community," Arvind Agrawal, head of Jumbo Group, said.
"The objective is to pool the knowledge, design capability, skills and resources to create an ecosystem for faster adoption of 3D printing technology in the UAE."
The new centre will offer a range of services including training, business consulting for young entrepreneurs, proof of concept development, product design assistance and financing options for developing a business around 3D manufacturing.
