A senior Abu Dhabi Police officer higlighted the dangers of speeding on the roads in a lecture organised by the Al Ain Traffic Institute at the Police Schools Department in Suwaihan.
As many as 227 new recruits attended the lecture delivered by Captain Salem Ali Al Kutbi, Director of Training Affairs at the institute. It inlcuded a video showcasing motorists’ most common mistakes, which put them and other road users at risk. It also showed a number of videos on reckless driving that accounted for 96 per cent of the serious accidents.
The lecture focused on the importance of adhering to traffic laws and avoiding high speed. Captain Al Kutbi stressed the importance of awareness and complying with traffic laws. Abu Dhabi Police is promoting the slogan ‘The road has its ethics and speed has its track’ during all events, in line with its keenness to communicate with all sectors.
