The Department of Transport (DoT) in Abu Dhabi has started the second phase of maintenance work on Shaikh Maktoum Bin Rashid Road in cooperation with its strategic partners at a projected cost of Dh7.3 million.
Work in the second phase includes removing and replacing damaged layers of asphalt. It is expected to be completed by mid-October.
Faisal Al Suwaidi, General Manager of Main Roads at the DoT, said the work is part of the ongoing improvements with the aim of keeping Abu Dhabi roads in the best condition possible at all times.
