The Sharjah Transport has temporarily stopped its advance taxi booking services as of today, for shifting grounds.According to a senior official, the advance booking services for families, women and special needs cabs shall be suspended for three days because the corporation is moving to a new headquarter.

“The service will be resumed by the end of this week, probably this Wednesday,” Mohammed Al Buraimi, Manager of Cab Booking Dispatch System told Khaleej Times.

“The call centre, available at 600545455, will see a big boost after shifting to the fully equipped building,” said Al Buraimi.

The new facility has been built at Waset Street on a total area of 4,570 square metres. “The building, comprises a ground floor, two storeys and a library with a capacity of 200 employees, two prayer rooms for men and women, a cafeteria and conference room, and is fully equipped with the most recent devices,” he said.

“Further, rooms for training and service utilities, as well as a large parking lot for staff and applicants are also taken into consideration,” he added.
