Abu Dhabi Police forcers have been enhancing their training in dealing with chemical, biological and radiological materials, as 27 officials have recently been trained to deal with nuclear risks.
The security-training course, which was organised by ADP and in cooperation with the US Embassy in Abu Dhabi aims to meet all measures of safety when it comes to nuclear risks.
Brigadier Engineer Hussein Al Harthy, Director General of Central Operations General Command of Abu Dhabi Police stressed the importance in raising the capabilities and readiness in dealing with chemicals. He pointed out that it is vital to conduct practical exercises to enhance the enrollment capacities of the course in dealing with biological, radiological and nuclear risks, and training to deal with chemical and conventional weapons. He also addressed the importance of dealing with biological and hazardous materials and how to deal with the legislation of such materials, as well as determining what weapons are in use. Brigadier Al Harathy attended the graduation, which also saw the presence of acting US Ambassador Ethan Goldrich and Bill Rutten, and a delegation from the Ministry of Energy, as well as the Ministry of the American National Security
