It is not very difficult to fall for the pranks or even the stunts pulled on April Fool's Day. This is especially true when the famous and reputed brands in the UAE pull a quick one on their fans and customers.
Whether it be the launch of a sky lounge, a trip to space or devising a way of tasting food on mobile phones-the brands and companies in UAE have tried to 'fool' people in every mischievous way today.
Below is a list of 5 hilarious instances where brands and companies had us completely in their thrall when it came to their April Fool's jokes.

Emirates Airlines
The one that deserves the first mention is Emirates Airlines. Emirates said that it was coming up with a SkyLounge, which would be the most exclusive Onboard Lounge to be introduced on its Boeing 777X fleet from 2020. The lounge was meant to be completely transparent with unmatched aerial views and unparalleled luxury. Some of the people did fall for it, but soon realised that Emirates was playing an April Fool's Day prank on them.
Chevrolet Arabia
The second priceless idea was what Chevrolet Arabia came up with. According to their Instagram post, they introduced to the drivers a hassle-free way - an exclusive 'Selfie Steering Wheel' - to spice up their Instagram feeds without having to slow down on the road. This steering wheel was supposedly designed for motorists to take selfies while driving.
Reel Cinemas
The Reel Cinemas in Dubai rolled out one of the most 'tongue tingling' ideas by putting put a social media post about the introduction of Pickles with Vanilla popcorn flavour on their Facebook and Instagram pages. As strange as the combination might sound, some people actually said that they would try it the next time they are at the cinemas. The others, however, realised that it was an April Fool's joke.
Careem
The ride-booking app Careem also marked the April Fools' Day in their inimitable style. They promised to take people to space and asked them to pre-book their seat with them by using their new beta app.
Deliveroo
Last but not the least, Deliveroo-the food delivery service - truly needs to be applauded for their idea of a 'jest' for April Fools' Day. They informed the people about the launch of a 'Try Before You Buy' feature meant for in-app food sampling. The feature was meant to allow the customers to smell and taste their food 'digitally' before they place their order, to make sure that they are 100 per cent happy with their selection. The digital taster was meant to enable users to be able to smell their phone to see if they want to place their order before buying it!
