Around 500 trees added to Abu Dhabi greenery

More trees have been added to beautify the city, the Abu Dhabi Municipality has said.
A total of 191 new palm trees and 293 flower shrubs have been added to the central island of Khaleej Al Arab street. The project covered 5,300sqm in a total area of more than 31,800sqm.  The road island was redesigned to suit the surrounding environment as well as being safe to road users. The civic body also installed an irrigation network to water the trees.
The implementation of the project comes within the framework of the Abu Dhabi government to beautify the infrastructure in and around the emirate's entrances.
