Two families nearly came to blows after their children got into a fight at a Dubai school.
Two students in the first grade had fought, with the boy hitting the girl with a pencil. The mother of the girl contacted the school and requested the boy be disciplined for his actions, according to a source at the ministry.
The school reached out to the Ministry of Education children's rights board to resolve the matter.
They formed an educational committee and successfully addressed the situation.
A voice clip has also gone viral regarding the need to refrain from using hurtful language. Apparently, the child who had hit the girl was name-called 'lion' among other words that could constitute bullying behaviour.
