Over 600 Chinese expatriates in the UAE attended the National Day celebrations of their home country in Dubai. Today is the 67th National Day of the People's Republic of China.

Li Lingbing, Chinese Consul-General in the UAE, said the bilateral relations between China and the UAE are reaching better heights with developing trade and other relations. The main attraction of the event was the fusion cultural performance highlighting the Sino-Arab culture, among other musical and dance performances.
While flaunting her dress with abaya, Li Donxia, master planner of the organisation committee for 2017, said: "It's a great occasion for all of us as each and every member of the Chinese community is present here to celebrate our rich culture. I am very excited to present the fusion performance with my team."
Another performer, Sherry Liu, a restaurant manager in Dubai, said: "I feel happy that the bond between China and the UAE is growing. I am living in Dubai for the last seven years and I can say this place has given me a lot. It's a very special day for us and being a part of the Chinese community, we are all here to celebrate it."
