Dubai - The consulate confirmed that officials are reaching out to citizens who had registered for repatriation.

The Indian Consulate in Dubai has issued a warning to Indian nationals about fraudsters seeking to scam them in the name of the ongoing repatriation plans.
The statement said, "It has come to our notice that certain fraudsters are calling Indian nationals in the name of their travel to India and taking bank details or OTP."
The consulate confirmed that officials are reaching out to citizens who had registered for repatriation, but asserted that they would never ask for bank or card details.
All payment will need to be made directly to airlines.
India is currently mounting a major air and sea mission to bring hundreds of thousands of citizens home using charter flights and naval warships.
The first two flights repatriating citizens from the UAE will depart on May 7.
The country's national carrier Air India will be operating all repatriation flights in the first week, post which private carriers may be enlisted to help with the evacuation effort.
