The attacker had already fled the scene before the authorities arrived.
Within 12 hours, however, the Sharjah Police managed to identify and arrest two suspects linked to the incident.
It was found that the duo — who were brothers in their 30s — had a dispute with the victim.
When the altercation escalated, one of the two brothers stabbed the victim in the leg with a sharp object.
The assailant confessed to the crime during the interrogation. Legal proceedings are ongoing, and the case has been referred to the Public Prosecution for further investigation.
The Sharjah Police urged community members to resolve disputes peacefully and avoid violence at all costs. Settle conflicts through legal channels, they added.
The police also called on residents to report any disputes or suspicious behaviour to help maintain peace and order in the community.
