Dubai's DP World has donated $100,000 (Dh367,320) to the Lebanese Red Cross to support its relief efforts, tracing missing persons and reuniting families in the aftermath of the explosion at Beirut port on Tuesday.
The generous donation, which was revealed in a tweet by Dubai Media Office on Thursday evening, is part of a massive UAE aid effort for stricken Lebanese.

The UAE on Wednesday dispatched 30 tonnes of medical aid to Lebanon, a day after deadly twin blasts tore through Beirut leaving at least 137 dead and thousands injured.
The aid, issued under the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, included trauma kits, surgical supplies and personal protective equipment.
Meanwhile, Her Highness Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, Chairwoman of the General Women's Union, President of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood, and Supreme Chairwoman of the Family Development Foundation, and Honorary President of the Emirates Red Crescent (ERC) has donated Dh10 million to support relief programmes for all those affected by the Beirut port explosion, reinforcing the ERC's efforts to mitigate the effects of this disaster.
