The Ministry of Interior on Sunday issued a notice alerting residents in Dubai about the preparations for a major military exercise in Dubai in February. The MoI notice alerted residents that the preparations for 'Arabian Gulf Security 2' exercise might be accompanied by loud noises as a result of the movement of helicopters and other security-related training. The training will take place at the Dubai Police Academy in Umm Suqeim during the month of February - between 7.00am to 1.00pm and then 4.00pm to 8.00pm.
Earlier today, a similar noise alert was issued as the UAE SWAT Challenge 2020 kicked off on Sunday, under the patronage of Lt General Sheikh Saif Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior of the United Arab Emirates.
