The previous Guinness world record for the 'most videos in a music medley video' was smashed during the Global Village event on Friday.
The Global Village scaled new heights during the biggest virtual rock concert in history on Friday breaking the Guinness world record title for the 'most videos in a music medley video'.
“We are delighted to have broken this, our first Guinness World Records title of the season,” said Jaki Ellenby, executive director of marketing and events at the Global Village.
“This is the beginning as we embark on a 25-week journey to break 25 records. Our historic opening concert captivated fans from around the world and united people and cultures through music in the spirit of social inclusion," he added.
During Friday's Global Gig, Rockin'1000 — the largest rock band on earth — brought musicians together from the region and around the world to celebrate the Global Village Silver Jubilee season. Audiences from across the globe watched the show live on YouTube.
Pop group phenomenon Now United wowed with a live performance of Come Together where 12 members from 12 countries performed with their newest member — Nour from Lebanon.
"It was a pleasure to perform with our members from across the world," said Fabio Zaffagnini, founder and general manager of Rockin'1000. "We will never forget this experience. Global Village will always hold a special place in our hearts as we look forward to visiting in person as soon as we can.”
