The sixth installment of the Mission Impossible film series is out, and we've been ever so kind as to give you an exclusive overview of what to expect.
Following on from previous works "Mission Impossible - Fallout" is produced and starred by the legendary Tom Cruise, who never seems to look a day older I might add, and has been written and directed by the Academy Award winning writer, producer and director Christopher Mcqarrie, famously known for the writer of "The Usual Suspects" who Cruise met filming Valkyrie in 2008.
The storyline this time sees Ethan Hawk and his IMF team link up with CIA assassin August Walker to stop the world from coming to an end via nuclear detonators. The predictability of the basic aim and the outcome of the Mission Impossible films, has still found a way in 'Mission Impossible Fallout' to keep you on the edge of your seats, believing that maybe this time Ethan may not survive.
This action-packed, stunt-filled, adrenaline-boosting film that gradually builds to a literal 'cliff edge' climax has you gasping for breath, laughing deep in your gut and sighing with relief, but would not, however, hail the complete engagement thrill factor without the exquisite work of cinematography by Rob Hardy. The combination of viewpoints, colours and dimensions of the camera has portrayed such an atmosphere that even without the speech you would have known what is being said.
Of course, the diversity of location added dynamic and adventure starting in artistic Berlin, to romantic Paris, historical London and finalising in the beauty of nature in Pakistan.
Cruise, if assuming he's still doing his own stunts, has still 'got it' 12 years on. His unnerved, sturdy confidence mixed with sparkling intellect and boundless fitness levels is almost pushing Ethan on the levels of superhuman.
Two new faces to the sequel include the gorgeous Henry Cavill as August Walker and Taylor Swift lookalike Vanessa Kirby as the White Widow. Both brought an air of mystery to the piece, yet Kirby didn't quite convince that she was a powerful entity to the plot. Cavill on the other hand, even though a villain would make the viewers like him and not just for his jaw-dropping good looks.
Regarding other villain's, Sean Harris as Solomon Lane would not cease to amaze the audience by the way he can still make their skin crawl even though a reminder goes off flashing that 'he's just an actor.
Best stunt - all I'm going to say is 'in the Hommes room' - enjoy the intricate gymnastic combat work, mixed with third-person humor.
Worst part - he nearly kills Faust!! Played by Rebecca Ferguson
The film is a stand-alone one and you need not have seen the previous Mission Impossible films. although it is recommended that you don't miss out on them if you can!
The movie is definitely something that should not be missed this weekend, although it may be a 'mission impossible' to get a ticket for the same.
You can watch it in UAE cinemas from July 26, 2018.
