Sharjah - The play, Rest Upon the Wind, inspired by the life of Arab literary legend Khalil Gibran will be staged on December 10 to 12.

Written by Nadim Sawalha, the play Rest Upon the Wind inspired by the life and time of the late Arab literary legend Gibran Khalil Gibran, will be staged at the Masrah Al Qasba Theatre in Sharjah for three days from December 10 to 12 at 8.30pm.
A journey through the life of the legendary writer and artist, the play will depict scenes from Gibran's life, and his times abroad, as well as his relations with people. The performance will celebrate Gibran's philosophy reflected in his writings that have been translated into several languages. The message of love and peace remains the underlying theme, as it does in 'The Prophet'.
Gibran Khalil Gibran an iconic poet, writer and artist, born in Bsharri, Lebanon, in 1883, died in 1931 leaving what can be considered as literary and art treasures, reflecting his ideas about love, policy and spiritual affinity. His philosophy was clear in his sayings and poems in Arabic and English.
